Find a lawyer in New Zealand
Now here’s a tip for finding a lawyer in New Zealand.
Try this website of the Auckland District Law Society
There is a tab at the top that says “find a lawyer”
Click here then use the search functions to search lawyers
by lawyer type, surname, town, or district within New Zealand.
The New Zealand Law Society also has a useful web page.
You can Google search using this keyword phrase to see.
There is also a directory of lawyers put out by Brookers
So you will need to visit this url: Brookers.co.nz
A directory like this is useful if searching for addresses
to post a sales proposal or a mail out to many lawyers.
Alternatively you can use the NZ yellow pages or the
NZ white pages in the telephone directory.

Enquiry - Home schooling
Books:
A catalogue search on "home schooling" (rather than homeschooling) will bring up a variety of books held at HDL. Two useful ones for someone starting out:
Home educating in New Zealand : choosing to teach your children at home : a fast growing trend / [Antoinette James]. (Published New Zealand 2004)
USA:
Homeschooling for success : how parents can create a superior education for their child / Rebecca Kochenderfer and Elizabeth Kanna ; with a foreword by Robert T. Kiyosaki. (Published USA 2002)
Websites:
Two very useful websites:
New Zealand home education: http://home.school.nz/
From the Ministry of Education website:
Home-based schooling is available for parents and caregivers who want to educate their children at home. Parents and caregivers need to get approval to do so from the Ministry of Education and must educate their children to the standard they would receive at a registered school. Homeschooling parents and caregivers are given an annual grant to help with the cost of learning materials and can choose to purchase teaching services from The Correspondence School.
Though the number of homeschooled children in New Zealand has grown considerably in recent years it accounts for only one percent of total school enrolments.
